It’s less than a week until we head back to Mississippi to Camp Victor. The group is finally set and from the messages flying around, we’re all starting to think about what we’re going to pack.
The group from Luther College will consist of 54 people coming down from Decorah on a bus as well as 4 more people who are joining us in Ocean Springs. We’ll be 48 students, 3 staff, 2 emeriti professors, 4 alumni and one favorite aunt.
The bus is going to be full, but we’re rolling out of town at 9 pm on Thursday night and I’m hoping that first night will be pretty restful because so we’re ready to enjoy a night in New Orleans on Friday.
Part of the group is planning to run the Crescent City 10K on Saturday. I’m planning to cheer them on from Cafe Du Mond with a cup of chicory coffee in my hand and some powdered sugar from the beignets on my shirt. We’ll head to Ocean Springs that afternoon and celebrate Easter with the congregation at Christus Victor Lutheran Church before our work week starts on Monday.
